2009 COMMUNITY SUPPORT CAMPAIGN

Building Strong Communities . . . Together

The YMCA's Annual Community Support Campaign will start in February, 2009.

 

One hundred per cent of all funds raised provide scholarships for those who cannot afford to pay program fees. Would you consider making a donation to help children and families participate in YMCA prevention and enrichment programs? Your donation will help to make dreams come true.

 

Our YMCA continues to grow to meet community needs. Our mission is as sound today as it was 142 years ago when the YMCA of Superior California was founded:

“The YMCA of Superior California is committed to building a strong community for all people, especially the young, through the development of spirit, mind, and body.”

Campaign donations provide funds for children, teens, adults, seniors, and families to participate in YMCA programs at reduced fees:

• Youth sports
• Camp
• Aquatics
• Fitness
• Teen programs
• Childcare
• Community classes

OUR GOAL: To insure the continuance of the important prevention-based programs our YMCA provides for youth and adults. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in our programs. Please pledge to help children and families who cannot afford the full cost of YMCA programs.

Your Valuable Contribution Helps...And Here’s How:

• $5,000     Pays for 35 boys and girls to attend summer day camp programs 
• $3,500     Helps 10 children participate in after-school childcare for 30 days 
• $1,000     Pays for 8 teenagers to attend a fun-filled week of teen camp 
• $500        Pays for 6 family memberships for 30 days 
• $250        Pays for 4 senior membership programs for 60 days 
• $100        Teaches 2 children to play basketball 
• $50          Pays for 1 child to receive swimming lessons
